Read this rule before going to famous fair of Bhatigal / Saurashtra, CM Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate on August 17

The Rajkot Lok Mela, known as Saurashtra's largest and Bhatigal Mela, held on the day of Janmashtami, is seeing great enthusiasm among the locals.

  • An important decision taken regarding Rajkot Lok Mela
  • Lok Mela will be a plastic free fair
  • CM Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the fair on August 17 at 5 pm

Finally, Saurashtra's biggest Lok Mela is going to be held after two years. A Lok Mela will be held at Race Course Ground in Rajkot from August 17 to 21. This Bhatigal Mela will be inaugurated by CM Bhupendra Patel . Ministers including the CM will also be present on August 17 at 5 pm to inaugurate the Lok Mela. At present, the work of setting up mechanical rides in Lok Mela is being finalized. Special preparations have been made by the Rajkot system for the CM's arrival.

Lok Mela Plastic Ben

Another important decision has been taken by the Rajkot system when lakhs of people come from all over Saurashtra in this fair. Lok Mela will be a plastic free fair. That is, the stall holders cannot use plastic bags, the use of plastic bags has been banned in the Lok Mela to prevent the spread of dirt along with pollution.

After the Lok Mela, masks have been made mandatory to prevent the increase in cases of Corona .

On the one hand, the cases of Corona are increasing amid the fourth wave of Corona and the Lok Mela is also being held in the near future. In such a situation, in order to prevent Corona from getting a free ground, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation has taken a decision regarding the mask regarding the crowd in the Lok Mela and masks have been made mandatory in the Lok Mela. Entry to the fair without a mask has been banned. This decision has been taken by the system as part of the safety of the people in view of the increasing cases of Corona. It is important that as lakhs of people enjoy this fair by exposing the intimate culture, masks have been made mandatory as there is a fear of rise in corona cases after the Lok Mela .

How many stalls will there be in the Lok Mela

The people of Saurashtra are witnessing a unique excitement regarding the upcoming Janmashtami festival. This year the fair will have 244 stalls with food and drinks, small mechanical rides will be the center of attraction. Stalls have been allocated in five categories in this Lok Mela. The highest number of 1563 applications came in the B-category for toys. In which 178\ stalls have been allocated. In the C-category for small eateries, 14 stalls have been allotted against 77 applications. Four stalls have been allotted against 48 applications in the J-category for Madhyam Chakardi. In the K-category for Nani Chakardi, 28 stalls have been allotted against 39 applications. 20 stalls have been allotted against 22 applications in K-Category for Nani Chakardi 2-2.

There will be no increase in chakdol prices this year

Whether the fun of the Lok Mela will become more expensive has been confused since the announcement of the fair. The operators of mechanized rides are demanding that the rate of small mechanized rides be changed from ₹20 to ₹50. While the rate of big mechanical ride was changed from Rs 30 to Rs 70. The organizers said that the prices which were fixed in the year 2015 by the Lok Mela Committee. That price is no longer affordable. When the prices of every commodity have reached the sky, we are also getting hit by inflation. Due to which we have proposed to increase the ticket rates. Earlier, the upset prize was kept at 2 lakhs by the system. In which now it has been increased to 3 lakhs. So the ticket rates should also be increased. But the Rajkot system rejected the demand for price increase in ride tickets.
