The government will do this on June 18, in preparation for taking action on Instagram after Twitter.
Following the micro-blogging site Twitter, photo-video networking site Instagram is also under investigation. Delhi Police has registered a case against Instagram for taking major action against the Special Cell team. Instagram has been accused of hurting religious sentiments for some time. According to special cell sources, no one has been named in the FIR so far.
Recently on social media, the central government ended its intermediary status, launching a major crackdown on Twitter. That is, its role of legal defense has been abolished. Now the person responsible for the catastrophic post as well as Twitter will be responsible for this controversy.
The committee will meet on June 18. There have been many allegations on social media of anti-national activities, hurting religious sentiments, sectarian tensions, creating tension in the society. In view of the seriousness of the matter, cases are pending against social media platforms in several states, including the capital Delhi and UP. An important meeting is scheduled for June 18 to take the matter seriously, especially on Twitter.
