Parakh Agarwal, Ambaji: The issue of ban on entry of devotees wearing shorts in Shamlaji temple has not stopped. Such rules have been applied in another temple in Gujarat. Following the Shamlaji Temple Trust, the Ambaji Temple Trust has decided that devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple wearing clothes visible in the west. A banner of this instruction has also been affixed at the entrance of the temple.
What the Temple Trust has to say
The Ambaji Temple Trust said that after hurting the feelings of the devotees, the temple administration has decided not to allow anyone wearing shorts to enter the temple. Although the Temple Trust says the rule is old, a new board has been installed as the board deteriorates.
