State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest bank, has warned all its customers in a tweet. State Bank of India (SBI) has issued periodic alerts to its customers and the bank issues constant updates and safe alerts. In this link, the bank has advised all customers not to share any of their personal information like Aadhaar number, page number, CVV number, KYC name. The bank has also issued a precautionary warning if you get a call in the name of downloading an application or you are asked for mobile number activation.

According to a tweet from State Bank of India (SBI), the bank will not ask customers for their personal details for any kind of activation or e-KYC. According to SBI, this is a new type of fraud in which some people in the market use different tactics to deceive customers. As on January 5, SBI has more than 44.89 crore customers across the country.

How banking fraud occurs
In today’s digital age, cyber thugs collect data from the market for their prey. After receiving the data, they call them for things like e-KYC, mobile activation and share their personal information. You are frequently sent a message for this. This is a link to a message asking you to enter your personal information. When you feed data into it, you fall victim to fraud. SBI has advised them to be cautious instead of warning.
