Private sector telecom company Bharti Airtel has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 854 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year ended December 2020.

Private sector telecom company Bharti Airtel has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 854 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year ended December 2020. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 1,035 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. The company has returned to profitability due to improvement in revenue and increase in the number of customers. The company posted its highest ever consolidated revenue of Rs 26,518 crore during the quarter. This is 24.2 per cent higher than the same period last year. Digital payments are booming.






The company said in a statement that its domestic business revenue grew by 25.1 per cent to Rs 19,007 crore during the quarter. This is the company's highest domestic business income in any quarter. The company's average earnings (ARPU) for the quarter under review rose to Rs 166 from Rs 135 in the same quarter last fiscal. This telecom company did bounce back
